John Hodson brings a unique blend of 33 years of business leadership experience and deep expertise in performance psychology to his coaching practice — a combination that helps him guide both professionals and athletes toward peak performance.

He spent 23 years working in the financial services industry, giving him firsthand insight into the pressures, demands, and decision-making challenges professionals face daily. He holds an MBA in Finance, which further grounds his coaching approach in the practical realities of the industries he serves.

Beyond his financial services background, Coach Hodson has extensive experience coaching and developing professional services professionals throughout their careers, helping them build the mental skills, resilience, and self-awareness needed to perform at a high level and grow into future leaders.

He has also delivered executive coaching to professionals, leading individual and group sessions as a facilitator and guiding leadership teams through transformational leadership strategies designed to drive lasting personal and organizational growth.

Coach Hodson has also been a long-time baseball instructor and mental performance coach at numerous facilities throughout the NY/NJ area. His responsibilities have included coaching high school players, co-directing college recruiting efforts, and leading mental skills programs for amateur and professional athletes.

He also served as a Collegiate Mental Skills Coach for four years at the Division I level.

Coach Hodson holds a Master’s Degree in Performance Psychology from National University and is a member of the Association for Applied Sports Psychology (AASP).
